Our remodel is moving right along. Very slowly, it seems to me, but the contractor seems to think we're doing fine - right on schedule (I guess it just seems long since we're living in pretty cramped quarters and I'm getting tired of cooking in my dining room and garage ~ though I must say, my electric fry pan from Target has been the best buy of the month!).
All of this activity coinciding with lots of school things has been a little more stressful than I thought it would be. The end of the year is always so full of activities and things to get done, then take away the ability to find anything in the house or to cook, or do dishes - well, I'm sure it'll all be worth it in the end. My appliances and cabinets are in the garage waiting for their new homes - they just need to finish drywalling and then I think things will move forward pretty quickly. Two rooms have the sheet rock up:
Family room - this is how it looks when you come in from the kitchen. The uber tv my husband wants will go in cabinet between those two windows.
This is the slider in the family that looks out onto the currently really awful looking backyard. I LOVE this slider ! (The pic is coming out a little dark - it's actually really light in the room)
Here is the un-sheet-rocked kitchen:
And last, but not least - the newly sheet rocked studio. The little door will go out to a tiny patio and it will have a window on either side. We're just waiting for one to come in.
And here are some of the interior colors we're looking at...decisions, decisions. This is the fun part! (The fabric in front, the herringbone will be the family room couch).
