Phew - we're all done with the Sleepover basket for our school auction (which is not until March 10) and it's in the very capable hands of the auction committee people. It turned out pretty cute (and pretty big and heavy!). Here are the jammies - we made the pants and got the tank tops at Old Navy (the colors are perfect). Then we tied them with tulle - one jammie packet for each girl (6 total).
All the fun items went into this hot pink container from Container Store and got wrapped in cellophane with tulle and bright fuschia raffia bows. Included in the basket are Jiffy Pop - 6 popcorn containers, nail polish and lip smackers (2 nail polishes and one lip gloss for each girl in a cellphane back with a bow), a gift certificate to a local pizza place, a Blockbuster gift card for them to rent or buy a movie, 6 party invitations and pancake mix and syrup for the morning. (Sorry for the bad picture - another rainy day!) My friend Teresa bought it last year and used all of it and thought it worked out really well - so well, she wanted to help me make it this year!
Hopefully some little girl will really be happy with it - I think it makes a sleepover pretty easy (except for the 6 giggling little girls staying up all night part...).
This is an extraordinary idea--what a fabulous sleepover package. I think any little girl getting this will be the life of the sleepover party.

How wonderful! I think I need to plan an adult version of this just so I get new jammies! How fun.

What a great idea. Six little giggly girls would make my head spin, I draw the line at three.

the package looks great!! i bet whoever gets it is going to love it. and it's such a good idea. don't be surprised if you aren't copied all over the world!
and the pictures aren't bad either. they just don't have sunlight in them - sometimes the sun is not available to take a picture in. it's a fact of life.

Wow - the sleepover kit looks wonderful. We don't have many sleepovers over here although Amy has picked up the idea from her browsing on the internet (I think it's the fault of the Groovy Girls!) so I may well have to refer your list of things to include to make the perfect sleepover sometime soon!
