FINALLY I made it back to the Alameda Antiques Faire last Sunday. It's been a long time...so much fun! I think summer is a great time with more vendors and great weather. Got some great things and could have bought more, but I forgot my measuring tape and so I didn't buy this very cool chandelier (hopefully they'll be there next time...) and my friend and I found these amazing chairs and were all ready to make a deal on the pair (which we would split), but the lady was so annoying - she just wanted to sit and talk with her friend (on a couch she had for sale mind you) and had no interest in us at all. Anyway - now I do regret not buying them, I guess sometimes you have to put personality aside to get what you want!
So here is what I DID buy -
Cool painted vintage tin ceiling tiles from a booth that had tons of them (and really nice people) - they're perfect for a spot in my family room. Where I hung them one on top of the other - great colors!
This beautiful old rosary from Italy - I love these old wood giant bead rosaries - I hung it over the bird cage I got a while back and it's way up on top of a desk/bookshelf unit we have in the family room. (You can never have too many giant wood rosaries, right?)
And last, but not least, this French linen grain sack - it's huge (20x44) and I think I'll make a big pillow or two pillows out of it. There were so many beautiful linens, but I was good and just bought this one.
All in all I'm happy with my finds and can't wait until September!!
