I am so excited for a week from tomorrow - I'm flying out (all by myself) to Spokane to meet a bunch of blog girls to go to THIS:

It's a much needed break from a way too jam packed schedule here at home. Now, what to wear???

One is the Loneliest Number

Not really, but I liked the sound of it! For Shades of Inspiration this week, the theme was "one" - I kind of didn't know what to do for that, but here are some pictures of "ones"...I like the themes that make you think!

Apothecary...

Yay! Some new stuff in the shop!  I am so excited to say that Dreams of France is the first shop (besides the designer) to carry these amazing apothecary tea towels and pillow covers!! They are very pretty and would look great anywhere in your home! The pillows could be used in a living room, bedroom, study - all over and the towels would be great in a kitchen or bathroom.

We have also restocked the bird with crown tea towels (my favorites) and added a wonderful black crown on a tea dyed background tea towel.  Pop on over and have a look!! Have a great evening!

Better Together

The theme for Shades of Inspiration this week is two's. I haven't participated in so long, but thought it was time to break out my camera and get going again. So here are some pairs I found around the house.

Self Portrait Week 2

Here's the 2nd in the self-portraits in Kasey's Tuesday challenge. This week I chose my hands (well, one hand since it would have been hard to take the picture otherwise).  My hands are starting to look old to me, but they tell a story - and they're so important. I use my hands to take care of my children, to comfort them, wipe noses and tears, pat heads. I use them to create things, to talk with, to cook with, write with, type with, take pictures with. I don't take very good care of them...I forget hand lotion all the time, I bite my nails when I'm nervous. This hand holds my wedding ring, which I never take off - (well, I do take the engagement ring off, but never the band), on the other hand I wear a simple rose gold band that my husband also gave me. Hands are symbolic of life, love, giving, receiving - that's why I chose that as my subject this week.

Lawn!!

We finally have a back lawn...it looks so pretty and I'm so happy!! Now for the plants...that's what we'll be spending our summer doing. Hopefully some lovely summer parties will happen on this lawn (for now, of course, we can't walk on it!).
