John and I took a little trip today - up to Napa and Oxbow Market. Such a cool place - it's like the Ferry Building in SF, just really little. They had all kinds of amazing foods to try, but we went up there for one reason and one reason only... this place:
I may lose some of you with this, but I love oysters. I didn't, well, I'd never had them at all until John and I went to an Entertainment Weekly party back in the day when magazines gave parties. We weren't dating (yet), but it was my birthday, so I proceeded to try the oysters there with a migonette (sp) sauce (with his encouragement) and thought they were amazing! (I also proceeded to drink entirely too much as 23 year olds do and I lost my shoe...but that's a whole other entry).
So, we ate these - you have to admit their shells are pretty beautiful!
They were the best oysters EVER!
The, we stopped at the cutest cupcake place in the Market
and got one of these...a vanilla cupcake. SO GOOD! A perfect end to a perfect day out!
one day I will get up the nerve to try oysters. Sounds like a beautiful day!

While your post title seemed an odd combination, your post makes me want to find somewhere fabulous and have date day with my handsome husband! (and hear about this shoe story...)
