Had a lovely, creative day yesterday...wrote a little...painted a little. These little tree watercolors were inspired by this lady...I'm new to watercolors and had the MOST fun doing these - very relaxing and you can completely lose yourself in creating them!
(The colors are so much better in person - darn scanner!) The trunks are ink that you lay on the page and blow into the branches with a straw (I did get kind of dizzy) and the rest is watercolor.
so pretty
i love watercolors but have never experimented with them.
just beautiful

beautiful job Jackie! you look like you are getting a great feel for watercolors!! they can be unforgiving with no room for error hardly; and the flow of your painting really shows you are in good touch with them. :) I am soooo happy to see you painting!!!

Jackie, I found you on the Gilded Girls Stash Blog & thought I would visit the other girls there since we are kind of a "slect" group In scrolling down I see you took Riki & Diana's bracelet class. They are both dear friends of mine & I ADORE them so! I first got hooked making jewelry when I took the Shaker Doll Necklace class with Diana a couple of years ago. Since then... I have turned into a class & Art Event Junkie!!!! Riki is coming out in March to go to Round Top with Diane Cook & I sooooooooooo much fun. Glad I found you & I do love you jewelry work. Stop by & see my post recaping 2010 & you'll see both Diana & Riki.
